Before you turn up your nose at this "pie" consider that it was a Million Dollar winner in the Pillsbury Bake-Off contest! This is a main course meal, complete with bread, veggies and meat! The original recipie that wond the Bake-Off did not include sausage....Barbie added that to the recipe.
Ingredients:
4 cups thinly sliced zucchini
1 cup chppped onion
1/2 cup oleo (margarine)
2T Parsley flakes
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Garlic powder
1/4 tsp Basil
1/4 tsp Oregano
2 eggs - beaten
8 oz (2 cups) shredded mozarella cheese
8 oz can of crescent biscuits.....PILLSBURY of course!
1 lb of ground sausage
Cook zucchini and onion in margarine. (Barbie puts these in the microwave and cooks until they are soft. Let cool before you stir in seasonings, egg and cheese.
LIghtly spray a 9"x13" baking dish and press biscuits together to form a crust . Add cooked sausage. Pour vegatble mixture over crust. . Bake at 375 for 18-20 minutes. (Even better on the second day!)
