IF you look back in my blogs, you will know that I bought new practice management software for my office and officially did the conversion/training beginnning November 14, 2007. We are now one month into the new system and it is getting much easier. However, I found out that being partially-paperless was worse than being either a pure paper pushing practice or completely paperless. We were still taking xrays on film and therefore I needed charts to hold the xrays. I could see the need for adding the digital imaging portion of this software now vs waiting until next summer to implement it. So tomorrow we go totally digital! No more solutions in the XRay machine so film xrays are no longer going to be available! There will be no crutch to fall back on should we run into trouble tomorrow. Therefore tomorrow should be called SINK OR SWIM DAY at my office. My bet is that we might bob underwater temporarily but by the end of the day we will be swimming! It may not be an Olympic speed but it will at least look like swimming....or we will be getting our digital Xrays. A couple of days I will never forget:

I don't think I will ever forget any of these dates! Each one has been a milestone and made the practice of dentistry much easier.
Remember....tomorrow is SOS day! .....that is Sink Or Swim....not a call for help!
