SHERMAN DAYBREAK TOASTMASTERS CLUB
The Sherman Daybreak Toastmasters (SDTM) Club held their regular meeting on Thursday morning, September 13, 2007. The Toastmaster of the Day was Tim Dungan of Sherman.
The Best Speaker award went to Kevin Higgins. A moving and from-the-heart Ice Breaker was given by Jeff Hill. The Best Evaluator award went to Distinguished Toast Master Joy Cole. The Table Topics award went to Charlotte Douglass. There were 21 people in attendance at today's meeting …. Including 3 guests (two were/have been Toastmasters). Next week's meeting will continue with another icebreaker by Mike Alexander! Can you believe the number of Ice Breakers we have heard recently AND THE QUALITY! WOW!!!!!
This Daybreak Toastmasters Club meets every Thursday morning from 6:30 to 7:45 am at the Renaissance Independent Living Residences, 3701 Loy Lake Road in Sherman.
Through its member clubs, Toastmaster International helps men and women hone their skills in the arts of speaking, listening and thinking. The Sherman Daybreak Toastmasters Club is a friendly environment of encouragement and personal development. At Thursday's meeting, Jeff Hill was pinned as an official "Icebroken" Toastmaster. Additionally, the winner of the District 27 Humorous Speech Contest was announced. Kudos go to SDTM's Jeff Walton for "The Dating Game."
If you want an inexpensive way to improve your speaking skills amidst a spirited and spirit-filled group, join SDTM any Thursday except holidays and contest days at 6:30 A.M.
