What a novel problem to have....needing more speaking slots! Where Sherman Daybreak is having that problem, other clubs in North Texas are stuggling to have A speaker. The Executive Committee met Tuesday morning and talked extensively about speaking slots. We are going to have a Speak-A-Thon on the FIRST Thursday of every month......starting with the first October meeting. On Speak-A-Thon Thursdays we will have 5 speaker slots (all will be 5-7 minutes) and 5 evaluators. We will forgo Table Topics and any other filler material that takes up time. Speak-A-Thon's will be constantly evaluated to make sure that they are meeting the need and not just taking slots from other Thursdays and moving them to the Speak-A-Thon day.
